Do Not Call (DNC)
DNC is your compliance and safety layer. If someone asks to stop, or if you need to prevent outreach for policy reasons, DNC is how you make that real across campaigns.
At a glance
- Contacts on DNC should not be dialed by outbound campaigns.
- DNC can be managed one-by-one or in bulk.
- DNC can be imported from CSV.
Watch out: DNC is operational, not optional
Teams that treat DNC casually eventually create an incident: angry prospects, legal risk, or deliverability damage. Keep DNC clean before you scale.
Where DNC lives
You’ll see DNC in two places:
- On a contact (add/remove from DNC)
- DNC list page (manage the global DNC list)
Add a contact to DNC (single contact)
- Open the contact detail page.
- Click Add to DNC.
- Confirm.
Remove a contact from DNC
Only remove when you have a clear reason and a policy allowance.
- Open the contact.
- Click Remove from DNC.
- Confirm.
Add DNC entries (global DNC list)
On the DNC list page you can:
- add a single DNC entry by phone
- import a CSV
- remove entries
Import DNC entries from CSV
Your CSV must include:
phone(required)reason(optional)
Bulk DNC actions from the Contacts list
From Contacts, you can add/remove DNC for selected rows.
Pro tip: use segments to apply DNC in a controlled way
If a compliance rule applies to a subset of leads, segment them, then apply bulk actions consistently.
Next: make DNC part of your workflow
Use the contact detail page, segments, and bulk actions to keep outreach safe.
