Contact exports (CSV)

You can download your contacts as a CSV from the Contacts list. Export history (reach it from ContactsMore) lists export jobs and lets you open a job to download the file when it is ready.

How export scope works

Export CSV uses the current list scope: the search box and any filters active on the table. It is not limited to the rows you checked off—checkmarks and “select all” options mainly change how the export is prepared, not a separate manual subset. Adjust filters first so the table truly represents the cohort you want in the file.

Small and medium lists often download right away in the browser. For very large lists—for example when you have turned on “select all across pages” or when the total number of matching contacts is very high—the app may create an export job and send you to the Export history detail for that run. The file may be prepared in the background; when Download CSV (or the equivalent) is enabled and the job shows ready, use it to save the file.

Run an export from Contacts

  1. Go to Contacts.
  2. Set search and filters so the table matches the audience you need.
  3. In the table bulk area, click Export CSV. The control may show a short in-progress state while the request is sent.

If the app routes you to Export history for a new job, stay on that page (or return later from MoreExport history) until the job completes and the download is available. For very large lists, be patient if the app is still building the file in the background.

MEDIA: VIDEO — Large filtered set: job on Export history, refresh until download is available.## Export history: list and detail

The list is titled Contact exports (or similar) and summarizes recent jobs, status, how many rows were processed, and whether a download is available. Open a row to see detail: progress, status messaging that may auto-refresh while the job is active, and an Export details (or similar) section with timing and file size. File size might show as pending until the app knows the final size.

When the file is ready, use Download CSV on the detail page, or the download action in the list row, depending on what the screen shows for that state.

Common mistakes

  • Exporting when search and filters are not the cohort you wanted—the export always reflects the active table query at the time you click.
  • Expecting an instant file when the app opened Export history for a job—wait for a completed, ready state and a visible download action.

Custom fields and segments

To export meaningful columns, align your Custom fields and Filters and segments with the operational slice you need; then export with those filters active.

Next: make exports meaningful
Define custom fields and segments so each export matches a clear operational slice.
